Adrienne Lucier

Adrienne Lucier

Managing Partner

Prior to joining Commonwealth Alternatives Fund, Adrienne served as a Managing Director at Credit Suisse in its Global Credit Products group for over 22 years.  Adrienne was responsible for covering Sovereign Wealth Funds as well as domestic Tier-one institutional accounts.  Adrienne was a key proponent in the successful launch of several inaugural structured credit product deals, including the first Contingent Capital Bonds, At1s, PCaps, and the first use of dual IG secured and HY unsecured issuance for acquisition finance.

 

Prior to Credit Suisse, Adrienne was an Executive Director at Lazard Capital Markets where she was overseeing asset liability management exercises enabling clients to optimize their debt management. 

 

Adrienne received a B.A, from Franklin and Marshall College, and an M.B.A. from Columbia University Graduate School of Business.

Enrique Shadah

Managing Director

Enrique brings 25 years of management experience founding and leading startups, advising companies and investors on strategy, investments, and M&A.  Enrique has 10 years of experience with academic-industrial collaborations at MIT’s Industrial Liaison Program (ILP), which was founded in 1948 and remains the main gateway between industry and MIT’s 65+ labs.  He led strategic relations for the MIT Office of Open Learning collaborating with corporations in the development and implementation of large-scale professional online training and development programs to promote innovative thinking. 

 

Enrique is the founder of Startup BLVD, which later became MIT’s Startup Exchange (STEX), the primary connector between MIT-connected startups and corporate members of the ILP.  The Vice President of Research and the Treasurer of MIT granted Enrique an “Excellence Award for Serving the Client,” for his role in creating MIT Startup Exchange.  In addition, this award recognized Enrique for establishing relationships with large corporations in Mexico and Spain that aided in the commercialization of select MIT startups.

 

Furthermore, Enrique is the founder of the Expert Collective Cooperative, an organization dedicated to helping founders develop and implement strategies that build financial and societal value.  He is an instructor at MIT’s New England Regional Innovation Node (I-Corps), and was one of six instructors in the AI Collective, a pilot program that encourages startups to build AI-based products and services.  

Enrique earned a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Universidad Simón Bolívar and a M.B.A. from Babson College.

Fred Lucier

Fred has 26 years of financial services experience across multiple capital markets roles.  He is Managing Director at Balanz Capital, a wealth management firm.  Prior to joining Balanz he served as the Managing Partner of Axio Financial where he was responsible for capital raising, origination, and distribution of alternative investment products.  After building and growing the structured products business substantially, Axio was acquired by iCapital in late 2021. 

 

Prior to Axio, Fred was a managing director at Incapital LLC where he oversaw originations, trading, and sales of traditional fixed income products as well as structured notes.  Prior to joining Incapital, Fred worked at Deutsche Bank Securities and Bankers Trust.  In addition, he is the anchor investor and limited partner in Future Labs Capital (Fund I).  

 

Fred earned a B.A. in Economics from Bucknell University, and a M.B.A. from Columbia University Graduate School of Business.

Daniel Bryant

Daniel Bryant is a seasoned entrepreneur, business-builder, CEO, and thought-leader.  He was the visionary Founder and CEO of Sheridan Road Financial, the $20 billion nationally recognized institutional investment consulting firm consistently ranked in the top three nationally by Barron's and The Wall Street Journal.  Prior to this, Bryant was a senior technology investment banker at DLJ, Robertson Stephens, and The Equity Group under the tutelage of legendary investor, Sam Zell.

 

Daniel is also the author of the best-selling book, The Financial Wellness Mandate.  He is a senior advisor to The Mather Group, Flores Benefits, Vistria Group, T4G Financial Services, Provenance Vineyards, and VIST Labs.
